OUR VISION To establish the Kingdom of God through the transformation of each individual. This is accomplished by God's love and grace. OUR PURPOSE To encounter Jesus and become the person He made you to be. OUR BELIEFS We believe God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. The entire Bible is the Word of God. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived, died and was buried, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. The good news is that a person can receive eternal life being born again through faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We believe Christ commands all believers to be baptized in water and repent of their sins. We believe in the filling of the Holy Spirit and the expression of all the gifts of the Spirit for today. We believe in the Eternal Judgment and the bodily return of Jesus Christ. We believe the true mark of a believer is a transformed life growing in faith, knowledge, obedience to Christ and love. OUR VALUES TO ENCOUNTER THE LIVING GOD Encountering Jesus is essential for entering the kingdom of God, maintaining an intimate relationship, growing in character, and receiving power and direction for ministry. The Holy Spirit draws us to Jesus, fills us with power and distributes the gifts of the Spirit. Believers are to remain filled with the Spirit. Acts 2, 8:14-17, 10:44-46, 1 Cor 12:7-11, Eph 5:18-19 THE PRIESTHOOD OF BELIEVERS The kingdom is most effective when all believers use their gifts and are involved in the ministry of the church. It brings us together to build the kingdom of God. A primary goal of the church is to help each person discover, develop and use their gifts through serving the Body of Christ and outreach. 1 Pet 4:10, Rom 12:4-8, Acts 6:2-6, 1 Cor 12:12-31, Eph 4:11-16 DEVELOPING KINGDOM LEADERS We believe that training and growth of leadership abilities is essential for the advancement of the kingdom. Our church cannot grow beyond its leadership, so it is imperative for ongoing training through School of Ministry, conferences, Berean studies and advanced discipleship. Josh 24:15, Luke 22:26, 1 Tim3:1, Prov 12:24 A LOVING, WARM SPIRITUAL FAMILY We value life-long Christian relationships based on trust, honesty, accountability and unconditional love. We are committed to walk in unity and humility before God and before the world as brothers and sisters in Christ. Meaningful relationships which nurture wholeness and belonging should permeate every aspect of church life. Spiritual growth, transformation and commitment happen best in small groups. John 13:34-35, Heb 10:24-25, Acts 2:44-47, Phil 2:3-4 EVANGELSIM We love the unchurched and the lost. They matter to us because they matter to God! The church is to reach the lost, worship God and make disciples. We believe that every believer is gifted and called to share Jesus with his world in a special and unique way. It is our conviction that when the world looks at the church, they want to see God at work. When they enter the church, they ought to feel God and encounter Jesus so they can enter the kingdom of God. Matt 9:36-38, 18:14, Mark 16:15-20, Luke 15, 1 Cor 9:22-23, EXTENDING GOD'S KINGDOM BEYOND OUR CITY Our love for the lost compels us to establish God's Kingdom both in our own locality and around the world. Therefore, we are committed through prayer and our resources to building the Kingdom of God here as well as in the nations of the world. We do this by praying, giving of our resources and going where the Lord sends us. We support world missionaries, campus ministries here and abroad, as well as ministries to the hurting and needy in our own country. We are blessed to be a blessing. Matt 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:18 GROWING A NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH It is important to us to allow the Holy Spirit to build the church after the model we see in the book of Acts. We believe that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Our aim is to see the sick healed, the demonized set free, the wounded made whole, and all filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power of God and it is our desire that He have His way in our services, small groups, relationships and in our lives. Matt 10:7-8. Luke 10:9, Acts 5:12-16 |
